An elderly woman was run over by a truck and died this Saturday morning (27), at Km 96, on BR-423, near CEAGA, in the São José neighborhood, in the municipality of Garanhuns, in the Agreste de Pernambuco. The victim Djanira Zafira da Conceição, 74, was going with her daughter to the fair, when she was hit by the truck whose driver was performing a maneuver in reverse and did not see the elderly woman who died on the spot. The driver felt sick and had to be taken to the Dom Moura Regional Hospital. The Federal Highway Police, the Criminalistics Institute, the Military Police and the Civil Police were at the scene, after the expertise the body was sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) of Caruaru.
