I believe its called malthusian overpopulation and happens when population out stripps food production, resulting in famine then death untill a new equilibrium point is established.
this is just one of our many problems.overpopulation will contribute to pestilence,food shortages and wars.the scales will balance and adjust themselves with mass death around the world very soon.
