Most of the FPV drones we see seem to be fitted with a shaped charge warhead designed for the RPG-7, which is a big step up in anti-armor firepower compared to grenades like the RKG-3 antitank grenade that we saw a lot of early on in the war. One of these zooming into even a main battle tank from the rear can absolutely wreck the engine. The problem with the RPG-7 warhead has been its "dumb" nature & short-range when used from a shoulder-fired launcher - it has always been dangerous to all but the most armored vehicles when it scores direct hits, pairing it with a fast & nimble FPV drone eliminates those drawbacks. The comparative saftey for the operator is also a bonus. Show more
