This drone footage depicts a Russian BMP personnel carrier being interdicted and destroyed by Ukrainian forces. It contains imagery of a deceased Russian tank crew and therefore, discretion is advised. At 0:07 seconds, the BMP starts forward, which appears to throw a Russian rider off the back of the vehicle. While this may initially seem humorous, the hand of fate may very well be at work here. The BMP leaves the woodline to travel on the main road. The pace of the BMP and the movement of the drone’s camera suggest that the footage has been slightly sped up. At 0:22, the BMP explodes, though it is difficult to discern whether this is from directed fire or from a mine. Debris can be seen flying skyward to fall, splashing, in the stream at the bottom of the frame. The camera pans to the left to display the wreckage of other vehicles that were similarly interdicted. The footage transitions at 0:51 to Ukrainian soldiers taking the remnants of an attacking Russian squad as prisoners, amid the pieces of their destroyed tank and deceased comrades. At 01:38, the Ukrainians begin to search the POWs and KIA. The POW on the left of frame appears to have suffered an abdominal injury, which has been bandaged. Show more
