Few Facts I Learned From Friends of The Family Who Work in Law Enforcement.
1. There's no such thing as a fair fight. If you ever find a streetfight that's spur-of-the-moment and features cut doctors, mouth guards and referees, let me know.
2. If you're under attack, do what you have to do. Fuck "Fair"!
3. Whether or not you know it, streetfights end lives. You don't know what the other guy is capable of. Go balls-out and don't stop until you're sure the other guy isn't gonna be bothering you anymore
4. Karate, MMA, Kickboxing, Krav Maga and other combat sport and martial "arts" don't do dick in real fights.
5. If you happen to "win" the fight (meaning you got out in one piece, go file a police report first thing. If the other guy's still alive he'll end up going to jail.
6. If you find yourself going to jail over the fight, don't say a goddamned word. This means you don't talk to the cops, your cellmate, your family over the phone (those calls are monitored and recorded), the media or ANYone except your attorney. That's it. Let the state work with what they have. You have the right to remain silent, couple that with the ability. When they say "Whatever you say CAN and WILL be used against you" they're not kidding. One more thing, don't even take the stand at your trial.
7. Final and most important rule: Better To Be Judged By 12 Than Carried By 6.
