I dont get it. Every scratch they get in the leg gets a fucking tourniquet. one of the first thing i learned in the scouts was only to be used in case of a artery nick, where blood is literally gushing. This dude had two slow streams of blood, slowly running down.

Using o n e in many cases like this can CAUSE you amputation.
