The event, recorded on video, took place after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27. In the images, you can see how a man, wearing a mask, gets out of a red car and heads toward the sidewalk. Then, he returns to the vehicle to have something to eat, returns to the sidewalk next to a business, and lights an object. At that moment, a large explosion occurs, projecting part of his body and a shoe. The driver of the car, upon realizing the event, takes off, quickly leaving the scene. The detonation, which was initially mistaken by some neighbors for fireworks, alerted the Police, who received calls from area residents. Upon arrival, authorities found the individual's dismembered body on the sidewalk. According to the commander of Zone 8, Víctor Herrera, the stick of dynamite used was of industrial origin, commonly used in the mining sector. Initial versions suggest that the deceased was involved in extortion activities. It is presumed that he was trying to threaten a business owner with the detonation since he had previously received extortion calls requesting money ('vaccine'). The extortionist, who lacked identification documents, was recorded by the location's security cameras
