You'd think this sort of "street justice" is a third-world shithole thing, but in East Los Angeles a few years back, a little boy ran out into the street from between two parked cars and was hit by a passing car. When the driver got out to check on the boy, he was swarmed over and beaten to a bloody pulp. The child was seriously injured, but survived. The driver did not survive.
