Looks like he was hesitant about it to start with. He should have just killed the breaker before he cooked the paint on the ceiling.

I hired an electrician once and he started digging around with the wires. I asked if he wanted me to shut off the circuit he was working on. He looked me like I was retarded, said no and kept working on live wires. Is that normal?!

heck no aftermath? the crap on the ceiling will be hard to get off
