US army 1989, i was in 44th engineer's battalion stationed at camp mercer. (hoping some other old fucker reads this and was there when it happened)

we were in the field, literally (rice patty). some korean guy tried to reach under the tent one night to steal something he could get his hands on. we were all awake quiet and pissed off after a long day. saw his hand/arm reaching in, so guy across from me grabbed him by the wrist then i grabbed hold too and we pulled his ass into the tent and proceeded to beat the fuck out of him.

in the end six of us laid into the guy. when we were through and officer came in and had us tie him up, hands behind his back with the rope slung over the ridge pole. he was fucked up pretty bad and unlucky enough to have survived. we didn't get a korean cop on site till mid-morning the next day. and yes, he was tied the whole time.

i bet he never tried it again.
