This happened at a celebration parade of local-born NBA player Draymond Green’s championship on June 27, 2015.

The woman was an American Idol contestant and aspiring model named Sikenya Thompson. She survived, but the impact left her with chunks of her leg and foot missing, as well as broken ribs, a broken tooth, multiple cuts and a residual limp.

The driver of the motorcycle, 42-year-old Lavanis Gray, was charged with 'reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function.'

Gray was part of a six motorcycle group in the parade behind the women. Witnesses said the motorcyclists were revving their engines and doing wheelies. His attorney blames the incident on a malfunction of the motorcycle.

After striking the woman, (apparently the steering, the throttle AND the clutch all failed at the exact same time, huh?) Gray crashed into a car which brought the motorcycle to a stop. Gray suffered head injuries and a number of abrasions. At the time, Gray was on probation for felony gun possession.

He was released on bail and I read that he served one year for the reckless driving charge.
