I've used glue traps the last few years. They're easier to handle. When you get a mouse stuck to one just throw it in a plastic sack. Swing it and bash it against a wall a couple of times. Presto! It's instant death for them and no suffering because their skulls are very thin.

I have those traps. They work great. Much safer than traditional traps. Much easier to set.
Like a traditional trap, you can't bait them while they're set... or this happens.
You just have to hold them open by the pincher in the back while you've finished baiting them.
