Hungarian River Police

Tisza River, Timar, Hungary August 3, 2024-Boat hit a ferry cable. Captain swam to shore and survived. The ferry is guided across the river by cables connected to both shores. These cables are usually only up when the ferry is in operation. Regulations require that the passing vessel request cables to be lowered but the captain didn't. There are many warning signs, lights and flags before approaching.
