During the interview, Kiss...A Juneau Police Department officer was patrolling the downtown area when he identified 35-year man Steven Kissack who was a person of interest in a recent assault. During the interview, Kissack approached the officer with a knife in hand. The officer issued repeated verbal commands to drop the knife. Three 40 mm, less lethal rounds were deployed and struck Kissack. Steven was taken to the local hospital for treatment and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
