Bogotá, Colombia, Augsut 17, 2023- María Liz Moreno Mosquera, 26, was an overnight guest who was accidentally locked in the 7th-floor apartment when an earthquake struck. After the tenant left her in the morning, a roommate, unaware of Maria's presence, locked the door when he left which apparently could not be unlocked from inside. After an earthquake tremor, Maria called the front desk for help but to no avail. After the second shock, a 6.1 quake, she panicked and climbed out the window, falling to her death.
