Images from the security camera of a motel that is located on the banks of BR-424 in Garanhuns , Agreste de Pernambuco, shows the moment when a former councilor of the municipality of Tupanatinga shot a woman with several firearm shots on Thursday (6) (see video above). According to the Civil Police , the man who fired the shots is Luciano de Souza Cavalcanti, 59. He was arrested and charged for attempted murder . The weapon used in the crime was seized. The G1 tried to contact his defense, but had not achieved until the last update of this report. In the video released on social networks, you can see two women talking to an outside area around 4:15 am. Soon after, the former alderman and another woman approach. The man, wearing only underwear, pulls a gun from his waist and shoots one of the women, who is in yellow clothes. The video was blurred to protect the victim's identity and witnesses " At G1 , police said the victim is 23 and survived . She was rescued and taken to a health unit of the municipality, but there is no information on her health. Police did not say how women's relationship with Cavalcanti or if the 4 people appearing in the images knew each other. The G1 also questioned the police whether the three women were in the fourth with Cavalcanti or if they were employees of the motel and if the former alderman has a gun possession or possession, but got no response. According to the Disclosure Platform of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Luciano was elected councilor for the municipality of Tupanatinga in 2004.
