THIS is modern warfare.

Everything remote.

Tanks, battleships, manned airplanes, choppers and even troops are reduced to expensive targets.

So you either bomb your opponent into the stone age (NATO/USA) or engage a costly and endless war of attrition, as Russia in Ukraine.

And that's a wrap, folks. Pack your gear, the war is over

This is a demonstration, complete with a camera drone.

In practicality, hunting down a moving drone and making a strike is going to be much more difficult than dropping a bomb on Sergei lumbering across the field.
