Backstory: New video shows a man allegedly ambushing Bellevue police officers with a knife after calling 911 to report a fake domestic violence incident at the Bellevue Transit Center on December 12, 2025. Body camera footage shows 38-year-old Mohamed Morray Bangura speaking with officers before suddenly pulling a knife and charging. Investigators say he slashed one officer’s face and stabbed him twice in the back after the officer fell. A second officer shot Bangura three times, stopping the attack. The injured officer was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Bangura survived and was later booked into King County Jail on $5 million bail. Prosecutors say Bangura intentionally lured officers to the scene with a false 911 call. He faces first- and second-degree assault charges with deadly weapon enhancements and is awaiting a competency evaluation. Show more
