Download Jonathan Banks, 32, was involved in an argument inside a bar located in the 37800 block of North Sheridan Road and was eventually removed from the establishment by security, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake County Coroner. After being escorted outside, Banks reportedly punched a window near the front entrance, severely cutting his arm in the process. Authorities said he began bleeding heavily and asked a friend who had been with him at the bar to drive him to the hospital. While on the way, Banks was reportedly drifting in and out of consciousness. At one point, he grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to veer off and strike a curb and a trash can. Officials said the crash left the car unable to continue, and paramedics transported Banks to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Show more
