I believe that the dumbest thing to do to a thief is to cause them head trauma. You might kill them, leave them retarded and cause someone else grief for the rest of their lives while they're forced to care after a retard or an invalid. No, instead what you should do is cut off a finger or break their hands with a press. That way they're marked and they can't steal anything else again anyways. They'll have to wear that scar as public humiliation for the rest of their lives.
