On January 6th, 2019 at around 8:30 a.m. (Could be p.m., conflicting time in news reports), officers responded to a trespassing call in the 400 block of Nebraska St. Officers Hollis and Hendrix speak to the 911 caller on-scene. They search the property and find a hole in the side of the storage shed but find no sign of the trespasser. They continue to search the property and spot the suspect now identified as 49-year-old Edward Gonzales emerging from behind a portable building. As officers located Gonzales and tried to detain him, he produced a knife. The officers ordered Gonzales multiple times to put down the weapon, but the suspect didn’t comply.

After 2 shots the threat was over - the last 2 shots was excessive. If a citizen shot that many times they would be charged.
That guy was really a threat huh! He almost stumbled 10 feet from the cop... better shoot him!
