13 knots in a hangman's noose. Also you turn the last piece of rope into the bottom loop with a fair foot of rope pulled through. That way when it is cinched it doesn't unravel or loosen. It creates a twist inside the knots that stops any reversal of tension.

I learned to tie a noose as a child. Catchy tune, although I usually don't care much for comedy in music. You get tired of it real quick.
