Authorities confirmed that the inmate was shot and killed by an Oklahoma City police officer. A second inmate, who is guiding a third inmate shooting the cellphone video, said that the victim was shot and “left” in the jail. The victim, who had a pool of blood developing in the jail, was unresponsive. The shooting comes nearly two hours after Oklahoma County officials confirmed a corrections officer was taken hostage on the 10th floor on Saturday afternoon. The officer was delivering medication when they were attacked by an inmate. The inmate took the officer’s keys and tied up the officer.
