I'll start with the speed thing here. Never has a production motorcycle ever reached near that. You are correct that it is approx 173mph, 280kph.
As a former owner of the CB750 Honda, Z1 Kawasaki, and a current owner of a ZX11, I can say that I have owned the badest of the bad of their respective times.
The Z1 was only capable of 130mph at best. Alot of high dollar work would see 145.
The CB750 was the first inline four and the first Asian bike over half liter. It was also the first production bike to offer disc brakes, front only. This motorcycle could reach about 115mph until the new generation of 79 and up. These were capable of about 135 or so.
The ZX11 beat all speed records and ran neck and neck the fuel injected Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird, but beat the 'Bird by only 2-3mph. We are talking 179mph on the straights, 10.25 in the 1/4 @ 138mph. STOCK. The 'Busa came in and ruined the ZX by topping at 196mph, but could not beat the 1/4's of the ZX11.
Read this:
" The ZX11 can go from 60 to 160 in the time it takes you to read this sentence".
That is a quote from "CycleRider" magazine.
It is a fun and comfortable ride. The seat is much better than a sportbike seat, too.
mosstyles your fucking nuts , Honda didn't even exist when the first inline four banger bike came out. They been makin inline fours since your ganddaddy was a kid. Check out henderson , or go to a web site for old bikes and get educated. The best sounding bike I ever heard wass a antique Moto Guzzi , 1957 or so , 500 cc , v8 with more valves and cams then the law allows.
