I don't know if the guys dead, but I would think if he was his body would have relaxed and his arm would be in the water. I do know if you want to kill yourself, cutting your wrist takes a long time to bleed out, unless you cut the vein from your wrist to your elbow. A friends husband tried that little wrist cutting trick.
