On the Laura Ingraham show it was stated that Chinese nationals have been buying up 10's of 1000's Oklahoma farmland and then according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics eventually these farms typically become commercial pot growing operations and then hire illegal workers.
Currently there are 8500 medical marijuana licenses in Oklahoma and 25% of them are run by criminal organizations from places like China, Russia and Mexico! Our national security is at risk by these foreign investors .The purchasers just buy the land and don't do anything with it,they just own it. Apparently these people have knocked on the owner's doors and have offered to buy the farmland with a suitcase full of money to make the sale that day!A bill that was working it's way through the house to crack down on China buying American farms was stalled in committee.Typical in Washington!
