If we weren't such huge consumers of drugs there wouldn't be a reason for them to be smuggled into this country in the first place. When there's a will there's a way. You want to stop people from overdosing on drugs figure out a way to deter them from doing drugs in the first place. But thinking that you're going to fix the problem by somehow stopping the import or manufacturing of drugs here is laughable.
There's approximately 200 deaths per day in this country attributed to fentanyl. There's approximately 500 deaths per day in this country attributed to alcohol. Oh that's right the US government and lobbyists are making money off of alcohol so those deaths are acceptable. It's a scam.
