I'm finally back home. My mother has been in pain. At first they thought she just had shingles, but she was in a lot of pain. So much so that she couldn't walk, she was crawling everywhere. I took her to the ER, and they did a CAT scan on her hip because she said the pain radiated out there. All they found was a little arthritis. I told the Dr. that the pain she was in wasn't indicative of "a little arthritis", but he just sent her home with a mild pain killer. About a week later I took her back to the ER, and they did another CT scan on her back and found a 50 percent compression fracture at L3. So I have been taking care of her and my brother who has down syndrome. She has an appt. today at a neurologist, but my brother is going to take care of that. I don't think much will get done today without an MRI.
