Henry Yakey, and Patrolmen Bret Simas and Lucas Pontbriant, stuck in traffic; officers attempted to box him in with their vehicles. Pinto was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died. His teenage daughter who was in the car at the time was shot in the leg. Officers said they didn't know anyone else was in the car until after the pursuit ended.
