When the officers contacted Vega, he fled on foot, onto the embankment of the eastbound 210 Freeway. Vega then ran across the 210 freeway where he attempted to carjack a pickup truck that was travelling west on the freeway.Numerous commands were given to Vega to drop the firearm, which he refused to comply with, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting.
