Tomblin and Officer Peebles with the Castle Hills Police Department conducted a traffic stop, during the investigation, Sgt. Tomblin identified the male driver as Richard Daniel Rodriguez and determined he was wanted on a warrant out of Iowa for Violation of Probation. The warrant also indicated Rodriguez was considered armed and dangerous and had a history of violent behavior. During the brief pursuit, the vehicle sustained damage to two tires, and speeds remained below approximately 30 mph. The vehicle eventually came to a stop, Rodriguez exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward a nearby residence. Sgt. Tomblin and Officer Peebles pursued him, wrestled him to the ground, and safely took him into custody.
