sbadass38: yes; The 05'Yamaha R1 is Mine; One of many bikes that i have. Also have a 96' GSX-R 750,03'Yamaha FZ-1, 83'Honda Nighthawk 650SC, 83'Honda XL600 and a 83'Suzuki GS750. I hope you like bikes like i do, Specially now that rumors are flying that a gallon of gas is hovering towards $4.00/Gallon by the end or before the end of this year.
sbadass38: Here's the lowdown: there 2 types of highsiding; The high side and the lowside. The highsiding happens when you have coldtires, usually coming in to a corner hot and braking really late(Usually in a chicane turn)then you gas up the throttle & your rear tire slides then catches traction suddenly, depending on how fast your'e going the bike will buck and spit you out!( it happened to me and trusts me;It ain't fun :( whereas lowsiding: you entered the same turn (chicane) but your front wheel slides and you lose traction.this is less frightening rather than highsiding.to lessen the chances of this happening to a rider: he must apply tire warmers prior to the race.they are usually wrapped around the tires with a specific temperature and plug into a electric socket; kinda like an electric blanket but made for tires.Tires heat up when ur going around the track but w/ this babies, it's already ready to go! as for my licence...Intermediate Class. But i have no plans to continue; @ 169 MPH on a straight away, I'm not dreaming to be Valentino Rossi,Gibernau, or Max Biaggi at any time. That's more than enough fast for me.
