Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for service about an ongoing disturbance between two individuals, possibly involving a rifle. When officers arrived on scene, they attempted to contact a female, later identified as 30-year-old Micaela Pasillas. She was not armed with a rifle, as the initial 911 call stated, but was carrying a large knife. Pasillas continued running from officers and then entered the front driver’s side seat of a marked CSPD cruiser and attempted to drive away. While officers were struggling to remove the female from the vehicle an officer observed Pasillas reaching for the duty shotgun. Show more
