I WAS A KID, AND DIDN'T AGREE WITH THE RIOTS, BUT REALLY IT TAKES BEING BLACK TO UNDERSTAND HOW TENSE L.A. AND MANY U.S. CITIES WAS FROM RACIAL TENSION, THIS WAS A CHANCE FOR JUSTICE, AND IT WAS A SLAP IN THE FACE OF EVERY BLACK, AND WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT AGGRESSION FROM OUR INCEPTION INTO THIS NATION, AND AT THAT TIME IT EXPLODED, BLACKS TORE THINGS DOWN BECAUSE WE NEEDED TO BE HEARD UNDERSTOOD AND RECOGNIZED, THIS WASN'T THE SING A SONG GENERATION, OR WALK WITH GUNS GENERATION, THIS WAS THE TIME TO GO FOR ONE'S OWN, POLICE PROCEDURE IS FAR FROM PERFECT, BUT IT HAS CHANGED
