Phoenix, Arizona — On November 11, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to a business in the area of 4300 West Camelback Road reference an attempted armed ro...Phoenix, Arizona — On November 11, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to a business in the area of 4300 West Camelback Road reference an attempted armed robbery. The victim advised that the suspect was armed with a knife and had attempted to take his property while waiting for the bus. The suspect was described as a male wearing a blue shirt. The first officer arrived on scene and observed a male walking around the parking lot armed with a knife. The officer began to give the suspect verbal commands to drop the knife. The suspect refused to drop the knife and continuously moved toward the officer. The officer fired at the suspect, injuring his leg. The suspect was transported to a local hospital and he is expected to recover. There were no injuries to officers or victims.
